Modern Minoan Paganism is a growing tradition; we're often inspired to add new facets to our spiritual practice. This year, we've already created the Blessing of the Waters, a sacred festival that takes place in January.

Now we're adding a new day to our sacred calendar: the Blessing of the Ships. To the Minoans, ships and the sea were a vital part of their economy and their spiritual life. To us, they're mostly just fun, but we still want to honor this aspect of life and include it in our spiritual practice.

Do you have a boat? Would you consider giving it some sort of blessing before you take it out on the water for the first time this season?

In the name of the bee,

And of the butterfly,

And of the breeze, amen.
