It's Samhain season here in the northern hemisphere, and my thoughts are turning toward the Ancestors and the spirits of the dead. Though the ancient Minoans didn't celebrate Samhain (it's a Celtic festival, not a Minoan one) they did hold dining rites that look remarkably like a Dumb Supper.
